CAO Code: GA381
Campus: Galway
In Ireland, Tourism employs almost 250,000 people, playing a vital role in the overall Irish economy. Ireland is regularly voted as one of the best countries in the world to visit.
Studying Tourism in GMIT will equip you with the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to pursue an exciting career in this dynamic industry, both at home or aboard. Students are exposed to every facet of the industry, partaking in regular field trips in Ireland, and abroad. This learning is supported by two work placements, the first in Ireland and the second in an international destination. Graduates of the Tourism programmes also qualify as a ‘Regional Tour Guide’, a certificate awarded by Fáilte Ireland.
“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page.” – Saint Augustine
