Digital technology and skills combine with range of creative thinking and practical skills in our highly regarded graduates. Our courses offer creative pathways that arouse passion and excitement and deliver a range of skills that are in high demand in this mobile worldwide industry.
GMIT Centre for Creative Arts & Media (CCAM) in the heart of Galway offers academic pathways in; Graphic Design & Illustration, Animation & Game Design, Textiles & Fashion, and Industrial Design (on our DESIGN degree); Cinematography, Audio Production, Editing, Screenwriting, Production Design, VFX Visual Effects, Production and Direction (on our FILM & DOCUMENTARY degree); 2D Painting-Printmaking-Photography, and 3D Ceramics-Sculpture-Digital Media (on our CONTEMPORARY ART degree)
The campus is also home to several organisations like RTE and Creative Europe, and animation & games companies like Motion Films and Doomcube. It is a melting pot of creativity, energy and positivity; fueled by expert (and caring) lecturers, enthusiastic talented students, and collaborating industry partners.
NOTE: Applicants for the Contemporary Art course are required to submit either a physical portfolio or an eportfolio.
These are not required for entry to the Design course or the Film & Documentary course.

Some of our Portfolio and Creative dates have now passed and we have decided to postpone our May date. The next date is: Saturday 4th July – 10am – 3pm (Creative day and portfolio).
